The Story
Eggs from down the road. Greens pulled this morning from a farm you can actually visit. Lamb raised on the same hills you hike. Salt Spring already has the soil, the climate, and the people — what's been missing is the map that connects it all. That's what we're building: a living picture of what this island grows, so we can close the gap between what we produce and what we eat.
Meet Your Farmers
Every card below is a real farm on Salt Spring that's chosen to be part of the network. Get to know them — and next time you're at the market, say hello.

Every resident who commits to buying local sends a signal — to farmers, to makers, to the whole island — that the demand is real. Sign up and we'll send you updates as the network grows, small local challenges to keep you engaged and supporting local food producers, and where to find them!
Welcome to the table. You're Locavore #.
For Producers
Farmers, bakers, cheesemakers, preserve makers, anyone turning local ingredients into food — five minutes to join the network and help build the picture of what Salt Spring can feed itself.
This helps us ask the right questions.
Tell us about your output and where it goes.
Could you produce more for local consumption? What would it take?
Last step — tell us about your challenges and how you'd like to be involved.
You're part of the story now. As more farmers and makers join, the picture gets clearer — and the island gets closer to feeding itself. We'll be in touch.
